How to use the ProofMaster Calibrator with non-standard inks?

1. Channel Ink setup:

Name the channel to the correct color loaded in the printer channel:

2. Fill in the media name and additional info as usual

3. Print and measure the linearisation. See the different channels are changed to the inks you named in the ink setup. The LAB values recieved after reading, are needed to fill in, in the 3rd party profiling package.

4. The LAB values recieved after reading, are needed to fill in, in the 3rd party profiling package.

5. Set the color gamut of the printer (as usual)

6. Define the ink limit (as usual)

7. Create the ICC chart via a 3rd party profiling application, and define the correct color name, exactly the same as in the ProofMaster Calibrator Ink setup (step 1). The names of the inks are case sensitive.

After that, enter the measured LAB value, as seen in the Linearisation of the ProofMaster Calibrator into the 3rd party software (see preview of Monaco profiler):

8. Enter the ink limit provided by the ProofMaster Calibrator and create the ICC chart, after that, print the chart.

9. Measure the chart, and set the final settings (UCR/GCR/Black Start).

10. Attach the created ICC to the sesion in the ProofMaster Calibrator and generate the ICC.
